These terms cover the residential lawn care and stump grinding provided by Morris Mowing Co. in Hutto and Taylor, Texas. By booking service with us you agree to them.

The service

Regular Residential Service covers mowing, edging, string trimming, and blow off of drives, walks and patio on every visit. The plan is built around roughly 27 visits a year: weekly while the grass is growing hard, every other week as it slows, and monthly or as needed through dormancy. Your monthly rate does not change with the season.

Stump grinding is priced separately, per stump, based on size and access.

Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, the plan does not cover bagging clippings, leaf removal beyond light routine cleanup, pet waste removal, moving heavy debris or obstacles, landscape bed maintenance, or bringing a badly overgrown yard back under control. We are glad to quote any of that separately.

Pricing and billing

Regular Residential Service starts at $180 a month. Your exact rate depends on lot size and we quote it before anything is signed. Billing is monthly, on a twelve month agreement, at the same flat rate every month.

We tell you the price before we do the work. We do not add charges you have not agreed to.

Payment runs automatically on the card on file through Square. Because an uneven year of work is spread across twelve equal bills, payment is due whether or not there was a visit in that particular month. A balance still unpaid seven days after its due date may pick up a late fee of 3 percent a month, and we can pause service on an account with an unresolved balance.

The twelve month term

The agreement runs for twelve months from your first service date. A year long term is what lets us hold one flat rate through the heavy months instead of charging more in June.

The agreement renews for another twelve months unless one of us gives written notice at least 30 days before the current term ends. We will reach out ahead of that date so it is not a surprise. If the rate is changing on renewal, you get that in writing before the new term starts.

Either of us can end the agreement with 30 days written notice. Because the monthly payments spread an uneven year of work across twelve equal bills, ending early means squaring the account up: we count the visits actually made, price them at the standard per visit rate, and you pay the difference between that and what you have paid so far. Anything owed is charged to the card on file before the account closes.

Access to the property

We need to be able to reach the yard on your service day. Gates unlocked and clear, pets secured, irrigation off, and hoses, toys and pet waste off the turf. If we arrive and cannot get in, or the yard is not ready to be mowed, we may have to skip that visit and it still counts as a scheduled one. A text ahead of time saves everybody the trip.

You do not need to be home.

Weather

Service days shift for weather, holidays, equipment and the route. We do not promise a particular day of the week, but we do hold to the visit frequency above. A weather delay is not a missed visit, and your rate does not change.

Things on the lawn

Please clear toys, hoses, pet waste and furniture before your service day. We are careful, but we are not responsible for damage to hidden or unmarked sprinkler heads, damage caused by debris or objects left in the yard, or conditions that were already there when we arrived.

Tell us about anything on the property we should work around and we will work around it.

If something goes wrong

We carry liability insurance. Damage caused directly by our equipment gets dealt with promptly, so tell us as soon as you spot it.

We are not responsible for lawn disease, fungus, pest damage, irrigation problems, drought stress, soil conditions or anything else outside routine mowing maintenance.

Ending service on our side

We may end service, with notice and a refund of anything paid for work not performed, if the property becomes unsafe to work on, if we cannot get reliable access, or if an invoice goes unpaid for more than 30 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in Milam County, Texas.
